HELP!!

Okay, I don't even know how to ask this so I will just describe what I am trying to do.

In lots of text aplications, ms word, works, whatever, there are certain things that if you start to type a recognized word, it will put like a ghost text of teh word it thinks you are trying to write? I need this functionality in a data base search, where the user only enters a couple letters and it will give him a couple of choices where he selects one and then hits tab....

is there any code out there for this already?
or does any one have an idea on how to do this???
