Windows 2000 X Visual Interdev
Hi. I can't create a new Project on Visual Interdev under Windows 2000. I got always the same message: "Unable to contact web server". I've already installed and uninstalled VI several times (and also the IIS) but the message remains. It was good under NT. Does anyone knows what is going on?

My $$ is on frontpage extensions...
You need them to post the pages to the web server and thus to even contact the web server.
Check them and reinstall them if needed.

I had the same freaking error and nobody could help me. But I got it.
Click on
Start - Programs - Administative Tools - Internet Service Manager
Right Click on your site and select 'All Taks' Click on Check Server Extensions. Don't worry about the NTFS error it give you (mine did because I'm on FAT32)
That fixed mine!
