Graphical Equalizer

I'm currently working on a cd-play project, I like to add a 10 band graphic equalizer to it, could anyone be able to help me how to make or write code for an equalizer. I'm using VB 6.0, I got the cd-player to work, I
just want to add an equalizer to it. If anyone could I'll be greatly
