Norton Anti Virus has removed exe file

I have created an executable (fm.exe) file using Visual Basic that I want to use on the internet. When I click on this file I get a notice from Norton Anti Virus that SONAR has removed security risk fm.exe and that my computer is now secure. I have ran a detailed scan using Norton Anti Virus with no problems detected. I also remove Visual Basic and reinstalled from my original disc. The problem still continues. I need help on how to resolve this.

All Av programs are prone to false positives. I have seen this before and a quick check is to change the code slightly (add some superfluous code or rearrange some) then recompile and see if it still happens. I have only seen it in C++ and not a VB6 exe so see how you go.

Thanks for your reply. I have several versions of fm.exe and they all are removed when I try to run them. They may be false positives as you suggessted. I have sent the file to Norton who are examining them for false positives. Thanks again for your help.
