    My favourite was always the FlexGrid. What better place to store and sort 500MB of data? For added efficiency, hide it behind a groupbox so it doesn't mess up your GUI design. Ahh those were the days.

    I wish VB6 GUIs hadn't been so slow though, never did get to the bottom of that. Hmm.

    What I loved in VB6 was the winsock control. And the timer control was the only way to do any asynchronous operations. So that too gets my vote.

    Oh, and I also used the RDO back when I did a project with VB 5 and Oracle. It seemed like a monster at the time.

    Nah, just set it's top left outside the bounds of the form. That way the user could resize their form if they wanted to see it. Now that's good GUI design.
