Question Tools required ?

Hi all,

i'm planning to learn Java & already have purchased some study material, i'd like to know wht tools do i need to download / buy for compiling & making java based apps ,also wht wud be tools that wud help me code faster & easier. I heard there was Jbuilder but that was long time back

To compile you'll need the JDK. it's free. A tool to help you code faster is called an IDE. Netbeans and Eclipse are the best around (in my opinion). And they're free (open source actually)
