    OK, a tricky one here.

    Would it be possible to send an email notification when the forum is up and running again after it has keeled over?

    Although it would be useful, sending out an email to 16 thousand members won't help with the server load issues.

    Thanks for the reply James!

    I was thinking along the lines of sending a mail to the (30 or 40 max?) members who were listed as 'Currently Active Users' when the server died. I presume this list is maintaned on a database table somewhere.
