Good Ol' Platypus
I am working on a project to recreate Nibbles with various new styles of gameplay and (eek!) the simple, old classic arcade version.
I need to know what styles of Nibbles you want? (I am looking for 3 in addition to what I have) I have:
(all have two different gfx options)
1. Classico Niblees
Classical Nibbles, 1 player getting eggs and getting longer. Includes increasing-pace (faster when u get an egg) and normal (not faster)
2. Nibbles Quarry
There are 2 or 4 players to play this one, over Serial, Lan, or IPX. You (and your partner in 4p mode) take eggs from the "quarry" and take them back to your base. Hitting the wall causes you to start in start position and lose the egg you are carrying (goes back to quarry) and a 3 second delay.
3. (maybe) Capture the Egg
2 or 4 players again, go to other side and get egg and bring back to your nest. If you are touched by an enemy nibble on their side you are put back to your base with a 3 second penalty and you lose the egg. The egg returns to the opponent's side.
Please tell me 2 or 3 more modes!
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
(Just a heads-up)

transcendental analytic
How about you can crash into other players, causing them to loose their tails, and what about picking up machine guns and shooting others from distance?

writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
writing haskell makes your life easier:
reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

Hehe, don't listen to him - he's just kidding.
Well, I'm also making a new version of Nibbles. So I'm not gonna tell you how it's gonna be
But I have one suggestion: it would require a lot more strategy if you lose by hiting a wall, yourself or your enemy. Then, the only way to kill the other snake is to surround him so he can't move and hits himself or you!
