combine 4 pictures into one picture

Hello Everyone:

I want to combine 4 pictures into one picture. I am not sure what to call it to figure out what to look up. Just think of a surveillance camera that combines four different cameras and displays them on one monitor. Something like a collage?

I am running Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8; can I do it with that?

Thanks

Art

Re: combine 4 pictures into one picture

My lecturer was telling us how he did the same thing using PhotoShop Bridge before our term break. I will see if it is covered in our lecturer notes!

The four rules for combining the photos:

1. Use a tripod.
2. Shoot in Portrait mode.
3. Turn off white balance.
4. Use manual settings.

You can stitch your own panorama photos in Bridge by selecting the tools menu going down to PhotoShop and using the photo merge option.

I'm not sure how to do it in JPSP 8 nor if it is possible but just remember the 4 above rules before you try and merge the photos.

You can capture images in panorama and just simply collate them. There are lots of programs out there that you can use for free. I remember doing this kinda of work whilst I was in my final yr @ my university, shame I can't remember the programs though as I simply wasn't interested on this topic at the time.
