    SOA and ASP

    i want to ask is SOA the new computing model or it is the ASP model reinvented?

    Well this isn't a VB6 question, but...

    Application service provider

    Service-oriented architecture

    And from there an infinite series of never converging arguments begins, usually because people forget the new buzzword for ASP was SaaS, not SOA which is almost entirely different.

    SOA is just another way of doing things - involving a separation of business logic from UI so that others can reuse the business logic and also so that you can update the business logic once without a rollout or upgrade to clients.
