    Male chauvinist bridge players use "LOL" as an acronym for Little Old Ladies. These are players who use obsolete methods and/or dumb plays and get good results, resulting in a bad result for some expert player. You often hear some body say "Fixed (meaning scr**ed) by the LOL again!".

    I keep seeing LOL in other contexts and feel stupid for not knowing what it means. When I try to guess, "Little Old Ladies" keep interfering with my thoughts.

    Please somebody: What does LOL mean?
