Goto file->new->MFC AppWizard (dll)
//write the code
Compile it using F7 or Build->Compile

If you want to include the MFC code in your DLL rather than using an external one, choose it under Project Settings->MFC Static Library

ATL or MFC?
If you're using MFC then some things get dropped out that are needed for them. Although it usually works...just set it to MFC static as normal
Then watch your file size rocket
Why do you specifically need it embedded? It's much easier to keep it as a DLL...
And before anyone says anything...DLL Hell does play a part in this, but if your installer program is careful it doesn't.
