    Hi Guys,

I have a friend that wants to build a device to collect data about vibrations etc within an aircraft. Once collected he wants to be able to read the data apply some standard formulas and determine whether the vibrations recorded from a particular source represent a prospective problem. Sounds simple?

Does anybody have any idea how to approach the project? I am vaguely aware of the data acquisiton hardware etc. that is available, but would really like to talk to somebody that know something about it.

    TIA

Thumbs up I've always favored National Instruments

    also try Measurement Computing

Take a look at these guys too. They are typically cheaper than NI. And, they have a cute new ActiveX suite called SoftWire. I don't use it, but it could be handy for getting your feet wet.
