    Report Server Question

    Hi,

    I was just wondering, what is a Report Server for and is it necessary to use it if your application is Windows Form and not Web Based?

    I've read a few articles and most of the time Report Server seems to be related to Web Applications. Maybe I read wrong but can someone shed some info.

    This is the definition that I found:

    "report server
    In Tivoli Enterprise Data Warehouse, Version 1.1, the system where the report interface component is installed. See also report interface (RPI). "
