hi i have written an asp.net applicaiton to list down all the events from a given log from the windows event log..but when i try to read from event log i get this error

The RPC server is unavailable
and i looked at my eventviewer and event viewer is not available check if the service is runnning..this is the message i get..

is there any solutions for this..im using windows vista and event viewer worked yesterday
