    deploy using installshieldX

    Im new to the installshieldX

Im using installshieldX to compile my program(vb6 platform), the result of this compilation have 6 folders and 6 setup files; there are:

    c:/my installshield X project/

    my project name 1 folder
    my project name 2 folder
    my project name 3 folder
    my project name 4 folder
    my project name 5 folder
    my project name 6 folder
    my project name 1
    my project name 2
    my project name 3
    my project name 4
    my project name 5
    my project name 6

In the folder my project name 1 there has folder media and script file and in the folder media has single exe image folder, inside also has folders.

Now my problem is what file is needed for setup ? There are too many setup files inside the subfolder.

Can anyne please advice me what files is needed and what files is not needed. I really appreciated for your help. thanks

    Warmest regard

    Re: deploy using installshieldX

I think the EXE file you need is c:/my installshield X project/my project name 1/media/setup.exe

Depending on the options you set in install shield, you can have different setup files (CD, Internet, Standalone etc.) So if only one is selected you should have only one file.

If you want to email me it, ill be happy to test it. just email it to adam [at] adalpe [dot] co [dot] uk
