Opening PDF document in same window (IE)

    Hi

I am trying to open a PDF document ,located on server ,from different client machines. As I understand the PDF will open using local Acrobat reader from the client machine.
On some machines the PDF opens in the webbrowser but on some it opens in a separate window.
I want the PDF document to open in the same browser window (without opening any new window).
Is there any way by which I can configure this property of webbrowser.

    TIA

    Welcome to the forums.

Are you referring to the VB6 webbrowser control?

    Sorted out the problem.

First of all Acrobat reader was not updated...when I clicked on
    Acrobat's

    Edit/preferences/Internet/display PDF in Browser

it automatically installed the updates and displayed PDF in same window as expected

If you consider this resolved, would you please pull down the Thread Tools menu and click the Mark Thread Resolved menu item? That will let everyone know that you have your answer.

    Thank you.
