The package is too big
hi,
happy new year to all
I made an application in VB 6.0. with crystal report used for reporting. before this i use ms-access report for printing, that time when i made the package through "package and deployment" wizard the package(application) size was 5MB. But now am using Crystal report 8.0, the total package size is more than 25MB. how it has increased the size this much. Is there anything i should take care to reduce the size. What all the supporting files i need to deploy this package to another machine where there is no Crystal Report installed.
thanx in advance

Re: The package is too big
Read the Crystal Report Tutorail ay my signature, where I show some supporting file. But all Depend On the CR Version, So when you are making the package using the CR then attetch all the file according to the message. There is need to add to atteatch all the necessary file in the package When you are using CR in VB.

Re: The package is too big
The dependency files for deploying an application using Crystal are sizeable.
The size difference that you report does not surprise. It is a price you pay for the exhaustive functionality afforded to you by this product.
