    I want to send users an e-mail after they have registered on my site confirming the username and password. However, my webserver does not support the CDONTS function because they use Linux. Is there another way I can do this ?

    if you want to use asp you have to have a email component installed in order to send email
    there is a lot of free ones out there
    jmail
    aspmail
    ect

    the problem is, that he's on an isp, so hw won't be able to install the objects

    i know what you mean
    but that asp who is hosting his website should AT LEAST
    have one email component
    if not then i would definately move my site
