    Resolved Static IP from DynDNS [RESOLVED]

    Hey guys,

    I got a DLink router (624) 108 mbits, it rocks,

    The only thing is that I've lost the possibility of adding the DynDNS server to the router... (Which I previously had with an SMC router)

    I was wondering how I can get to ping my web adress through the router...

    I need it from the router so that if a server is down it switches to another server...

    so help me and my servers plz! (btw got win2003 standard if that helps... maybe I can do it via software... or maybe plug in both routers into network??)

    I have a DLink, and found this in Administrator Tools (It's a DI-524)

    Block WAN Ping
    When you "Block WAN Ping", you are causing the public WAN (Wide Area Network) IP address on the device not to respond to ping commands sent by Internet users. Pinging public WAN IP addresses is a common method used by hackers to test whether your WAN IP address is valid.

    For the dyndns just use a software client.
