Please could someone tell me how I can use Crystal Reports as an insertable object, and not as an Active X Component.
All I want to be able to do is call an external Crystal Report with certain parameters.
Cheers

Hi
as far my knowledge , u can't do this using crystal reports. all u've to do is ::
Make a .exe file using VB.
1. create a form. Paste a Crystal active control on th form.
2. set all the necessary propertie.
this will do ...
all the best

What exactly do you mean? Run crystal reports from within your program using Shell (or Shellexecute)?
or do you want to use crystal report's in your program but just without the ocx?
In the firts case, check the helpfile of cr. I don't know if cr supports commandline parameters.
For the 2nd,. there's a complete developer's edition of cr, which includes an api too.
