 [RESOLVED] why cant you create folder???
hi all!!!
just wanted to know that why cant nebody create a folder named "con" (without quotes) in Windows????
thnx!!!!
PS: i recieved a mail related to this n it says that even MS n Bill Gates couldn't make out why so??? i tried on 98 n  it was / is true!!!!!

You cannot create a folder with the same name as any of the following devices:
CON, PRN, LPT1, LPT2 ..LPT9, COM1, COM2 ..COM9
This limitation ensures that redirection to these devices will always work.
