What's your favorite end-user Horror Story?

I wrote a data entry system for a client in Houston, using
DBaseIII (please guys, this was BEFORE Windows 3.1). One
morning, about 3AM, he calls screaming that my code had
    destroyed his monitor.

I asked what the problem was, and his response was similar
to "my monitor won't work now, and your *&^% was the only
    thing I was running.....".

I told him to fiddle with the small screws in the back,
figuring that he had managed to turn the contrast to
completely black . He came back in about 30 seconds,
saying he couldn't find them. I told him to turn the
monitor around and the screws would be on the lower left
hand corner. He still couldn't find them. I asked where
he was looking and the following conversation was held:

he: "It don't matter where I look, I can't see them!"
me: "What do you mean it doesn't matter?"
he: "Well, I can't see ANYTHING"
    me: "Why not?"
he: "Because the electricity is off."
    looooooooong interval
me: "This call is costing you $300 per hour, in 15 minute
    intervals"
    he: "HUH?"
me: "The whole damn computer runs on electricity."
    loooooooooonger interval
he: "oh......well, send me the bill tomorrow."
    click

    He paid the $225

    *Laughs hard* hehehehe : D

That ranks right up there with "It says 'insert disk 3' but the disk won't fit. It was hard enough to get disk 2 in, there's no way I can fit this one in too" : D

    THAT WAS FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:: Tears rolling down his face. ::

I once had that kind of problem. And it was the contrast turned all the way to black. That was fixed easily though.. LOL But this takes the cake!!!

I have this WAVE file of a call that a guy made to tech support. He said.. "Uhh, I need your help. I have moved my mouse all the way over and now I can't go any further. The mouse pointer didn't go all the way to the left of the screen like it was supposed too. If I move the mouse any further it will come off the padd. I need to move my mouse further over. What should I do?"

No joke.. This was a REAL call.. LOL
