EXE file does not work in Win 95

We have a network of 10 PCs at our school, running on Windows 98. Another network has 40 PCs running on Windows 95. The EXE version of my VB 6.0 program gives an error (Run time error '5') on the Windows 95 systems. It runs fine on Win 98. Can anybody help?

Odds are you'll need to install DCOM on the Win95 machines. Search MSDN for "DCOM Install on Windows 95"

    dcronje,

More info is needed. You need to indicate how the program was put on the systems. Installed by a package, exe copied? Where and how developed... Those sorts of things.

Also, try using the Automatic OS Updater to install the correct DCOM / MDAC /VB runtime files for your system.
