It's a crappy british TV show. Basically 2 contestants try to find big words from 9 random (well pretty random, they choose how many vowels and consonants they get) letters, adn they try to do arithmetic with about 6 numbers to get a target number.
Sounds like fun huh?

They are accepted.
Sorry for being male, but I felt compelled to reply.
I was a programmer back in prehistoric times, and have never worked on a staff that did not have at least one female. Most of the companies I worked for were large, but a few had small staffs.
Perhaps there are small companies who discriminate, but the world seems to create demand for programs faster than programmers can be trained. Every place I worked seemed willing to hire anybody who could program in the language the company was using, and many were willing to hire trainees of either sex.
Personally, I would prefer to work in a place with women on the staff, even though I had a policy of not dating women from my office.

Re: They are accepted.
hi,
I'm a woman and I agree with Guv. I'm a programmer, worked in a few firms and it's rather common to meet a woman programmer. Of course, there are more men. But I think there are a lot of women in this work and they rather are not discriminated.
Sorry if I disappointed you.

Wonder Woman, no female either.
just want to let U know that here at our firm we have currently two female programmers and they are doing damn good.
You must know that the majority are male, and woman have less communication problems than men do.
This is also true for letting the other one know what you think of them.
So I must say you're accepted any way, but this isn't always shown, or at least not in the way everyone understands.
Hope I restarted your day with another tought.
