I've bought from ebay. And once, from someone even on the Vb-World Forums who was going to sell it on ebay. First, I emailed him to get a little more information. Than we told each other's addresses. After that, he said that he had gotten screwed by somebody before so I should send the money first (money order) and I did. Three days later, he said he received it and would send me the product. And within two days, I received it.

It worries people a lot about this, not everyone can be trusted, but that's why you find out a little information about the person first. And since you won on the labtop, ask him if he could send you a picture, if he has one, of the labtop.

If he's selling it for high price and you won it bidding high, I don't think he'll rip you off. Especially on ebay, you vote them for how good they were and stuff, so if he rips you off, you just leave a mean comment and no one will buy from him no more.

    Hope that helps a little.

    sorry,, this was yahoo, mistake

i hear a lot of people get ripped off on yahoo...

and from the looks of it this is totally fake...
    i could be wrong..
i mean the labtop was auctioned and said to be somewhere in NC, now this guy sends me his address(a PO box, and this is in virginia...) and this guy is a new auctioner, no ratings for him yet...
and the labtop.. lets just say i won it VERY low
so i think its a scam..

if anyone has one for sale.. am considering to buy it..

Check his user rating carefully. Normally do this before bidding, but it is too late here. For expensive items consider using an escrow service. If the seller agrees to it, the escrow service will hold your payment until you receive the item and you have verified that it is what you bought. After that they will send the money to the seller. You can get the names of escrow services from Safeharbor section of Ebay.
