realistically, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I use dsl because I can't stand giving Comcast (formerly MCI) my money.

I'm the same, but the other way around. Qwest ticked me off, so I pulled all my accounts from them (they weren't happy with that) including my DSL. Now I go through Cox Communications for everything incl Cable modem. Service has been better, faster, and cheaper. There's more to it than just cost, consider customer service and tech support too. My DSL account in one year was shuffled around between four different organizations (first it was Qwest, then MSN, then back to Qwest, then a "new" company formed as a joint partnership w/ Qwest & MSN.) Makes it all very confusing.

    * I also don't respond to friend requests. Save a few bits and don't bother. I'll just end up rejecting anyways.*

    amen to that.
I have earthlink DSL and have had them for 5+ years
my line has been down a total of 6hours (that affected me)
Plus you can always get through to someone who knows something on their help line.

However, SBC has dsl for about half of what I'm paying so I'm
gonna have to switch, the temptation is too great.
But you couldn't lure me for just $10 a month cheaper.
    Merry Christmas

My sister and I both have SBC about 2 miles apart. Recently I noticed that hers isn't anywhere near as fast as mine. I wonder if her computer is hosed. It was taking forever to load web pages that are open instantly at home. I'm even using a wireless link at 11mbs, and haven't plugged the laptop into a cable for a while to really check my speed. (other computer is 233mhz, but after IE loads, web pages are fast!)
