When the computer restarts, does it reboot instantly, or does a message popup saying that the system is shutting down?
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Because you said this happens when playing games or using VCDs, you probably need to update your video driver. In my experience, I've seen my laptop constantly restart when i did not have the right driver for a LAN card i put in. So...try drivers.

On the motherboard there should be a medium size button battery.

This powers the Bios clock. If in doubt ask an expert in a store to change it (if its worth it)

the battery replacement is what to do for the time and volume resetting, as for the rebooting here are some suggestions

If you have a multimeter test the power supply voltages, if there is anything out of the acceptable range, replace it

Check the DIP switches and jumpers on your motherboard, if something was switched out of its normal position it could be causing problems, and you can get the manual for your motherboard to tell you where everything is supposed to be

Make sure you configured the software to your computer correctly

And if you suspect a driver problem, you need to restart your computer and have it start up with step by step confirmation to make sure there are no error messages with drivers or system components.

    Hope this helps!

I dont feal like reading all of that so i just glimpsed through. SO LISTEN UP n00bs.

1: He formatted his harddrive so quit saying it is a virus.
2:I would highly doubt it is a driver problem if it has worked this far.

THUS a sollution has been founded:
It is the video card(hardware). Buy a new video card kid your's is shot.

Viruses can live after a reboot. Expecially if a second drive is connected

Could be sound, Video etc etc

I dont understand why the BIOS resets? This could be the indirect cause of the reset on the graphics
