Office OneNote 2003 [Resolved]
How can I get the minimized OneNote application to be there in the system tray when I start up the computer? I'd like it so that I can have my notes in there at all times.

I'm sure people out there use OneNote.
Or is there a better note-taking software out there? Something that hangs around in the system tray and if I double click it, it pops up with my already-typed-in notes?

I could write you one for free if you want? I've been looking for a small project for ages now. Coder's block, you know how it is.
I don't live here any more.

I don't know if it's better, but you could try Nullsoft's SafeSex.
Every passing hour brings the Solar System forty-three thousand miles closer to Globular Cluster M13 in Hercules -- and still there are some misfits who insist that there is no such thing as progress.

Did you manage to find how to send OneNote to SystemTray? I can get it to show in systray but when i minimizie it still remains on the Task Bar, then whats the point of adding it to systray

There is a great war coming. Are you sure you are on the right side? Atleast I have chosen a side.

Pathetic.
Yes, I did manage to get it into the system tray, but whenever I'd open the side note, it would open a new side note. I'd then click the Delete button to look at my original note.
So I tried out something called "Turbo Note". What I liked about it was, it can stay on top as a small bar, you write your notes in there, and it rolls up when it loses focus. Easy, handy reference.
OneNote was simply too cumbersome.
I'll try the other two links given here.

Give Microsoft a break, it's the first version of it and it works very well. The benifits of it truly standout on laptops and tablet pcs... or more-so tablet pcs.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

I'd agree with the more-so tablet pcs part. I'm using a laptop.

They are doing a lot of extra stuff for it with SP1 for Office 2003, so it might help you in that department.

LOL, righto.
Also, if you want to, you can try the Preview version of Microsoft OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1 here: http://www.microsoft.com/office/onen...1/default.mspx
