Status Bar .... strange happenings

Ok have added status bars to my forms. Yesterday when l added them l was getting the three diagonal lines in the right side of the control. Today l don't get these lines. My environment is vb5 on win98
Has any one discovered this problem before.

I believe it depends whether or not the form on witch the statusbar resides is sizable or not.

If the status bar is docked (alignment set to something else as none) and the form is resizable then you get the 3 lines.
