    I've just had a brainwave!

    There have been a several compliants recently about threads being misused and pointless postings.

    Would it be possible to let the "Thread starter" have control over his/her thread by having the abillity to delete unwanted postings from that thread?

    Just a thought!

    I have seen a lot of offesive posts, even in general Q/A,

    I would suggest a "report post" user option, for all posts in all forums, so that you can report it when you think it's offensive
    Use
    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

    Mark, you wouldn't want the user to delete posts because if there is good code...they can easily take it and make sure no one else gets a look. The correct way to get an unwanted or offensive post of your thread is to email John and ask him nicely to have a look at the thread and that its very offensive toward you. But kedaman's idea is good...report bad posts. Click the report button...a comment box will come up and you say what is wrong with it. John has a look...and from there on, I cannot say .

    Is it possible give the Guru's power to edit/delete posts, that way you have the people who are less likley to abuse the power and who use the site most monitering everything for you, especially the rate Ked and Megatron are going, I doubt there's been a post in the lest week that one of them hasn't read.

    BatRobin Respects batman's opinion as batman respects Robins opinion, (BatRobin can tell because if he didn't batman would say "Stupid Robin, You are batWrong and Stupid, Stupid Robin, ha ha ha"), maybe BatRobin didn't make himself clear, batrobin does not suggest batGuru's Alter batcode, he suggests batgurus edit and delete Epithet filled posts in the same way John does. So if bad Batwords are used gurus batswoop in and change them for good words, or delete them. batRobin suggested batgurus because they won't batabuse batprivaleges.

    Thanks for the suggestion guys. In fact, the 'report this post' thing has already been suggested on the vBulletin board, and is on my to do list.

    Sam == Robin? (See post above ) Or am I behind the times - is this common knowledge?
    What ever, it would be nice if batrobin and batman would not bat use 'bat' before every bat word in the bat feedback forum because it is bat hard for bat John to bat follow.

    Thanks!

    John

    Bat! John's start to bat talking with Bat words! Well ok I bat agree we shouldn't use batwords if were suggesting something to John, but bat words are not bad words, and batman is good for this site. Well BatSam, I'm not going to say "batcool! that was a batgreat idea" but I'm not either agreeing with batman and I don't want to interrupt that conversation you had, well I wouldn't change your posts Batman since everyone knows who batman is
