Norton AntiVirus 7.51 with XP Pro errors
Hey all,
I have windows xp pro, and norton anti-virus corporate ed. i just ran windows update today, then realized that afterwards, norton had the little yellow exclamation point on it. so, i checked around, saw nothing that was causing the conflict.
i remove norton, then when i try to reinstall, i get an "error 1920", something about not having sufficient privileges to start up the norton antivirus server service.
that's doohickey, i am the admin on the machine, i was the one that installed all of the other stuff!!
i checked around, i can't find any info on this issue that is helping. i tried everything on symantec's site, nothing helped.
any ideas??

What version of NAVCE do you have? I think you need at least 7.6 for XP.
Josh
Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Symantec knows about the problem. Looks like there is a work around.
