How to add/use MSCOMM

I want to use the MSCOMM feature to read and send simple data to the com port. I found this listed in the MSDN library when searching for "SERIAL"

Ok, so how do I find what Reference or Component to add so I can use MSCOMM?

For that matter is there any place that lists any of this? Each time I go to use some thing new it takes an hour to hunt and pecking to find what Reference to add and then some times there are several listed that will have it, so which one is better?

From your project IDE, click on Project/Components

Scroll down until you see Microsoft Comm Control 6.0, and check the box next to it, and click OK. An MSComm control will be added to your toolbox.
