Memory Checking
Is there a utility available for testing onboard memory for errors under winXP?
My computer keeps locking up following a lightening storm...

it is usually built into the motherboard, but not always turned on.
you need to go into the bios and turn on "Power On Self Test" or "POST"

Surges from storms can damage components, modems are especially vulnerable, even when you have a surge protector. To expand on Si, look for an option to disable FastBoot or QuickPOST or whatever.

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.
