    Smile Video Game Development Team

Hello, I am learning C++ (so vb programmers cannot join)

I am trying to develop a team of video game developers, like Rareware, or Activision, etc.I am learning C++.So far I know some basic console programming.I am getting more advanced quite fast though.

I am looking for a graphics programmer.More C programmers would be nice too.I would be the project leader.

Please respond if your interested or e-mail me at [email protected]

    Additional information...

Just a side note, this guy will need an initial investment of $20,000 from all new members so that he can drop out of grade 8, sign a deal with Nintendo and get an office for everyone to move to (in Canada). Programmers will have to:
-know how to program C++ (that's right, a C++ position in an exclusively VB help board)
-have good communication abilities (to make up for the fact that the leader won't actually be able to handle the position).
Thank you for your time, please forward your minimum 8000 word resumes to the starter of this thread so he can delete them once he realizes there isn't a chance in hell of him starting this kind of project up.

Geez. What do you guys do that is so great?

    Falco:
VB programmers can be useful sometimes (especially when it comes to making tools), so I wouldnt exclude them from your project. You also need to get a lot better with C++. In a nutshell, learn to walk before you learn to run. At the moment, you are crawling =). Its a very complex language (infinitly more so then VB), and that doesnt even include things like OpenGL or DirectX.

Once you have improved a bunch on your skills(yeah, those console programs are boring, but you gotta do what ya gotta do), then start looking around through OpenGL or DirectX (I prefer DirectX, but it is only an opinion. Neither is better). Once you have at least a grounding in some graphics programming, start looking for a game team.

To get you through those long hours of console programming, you might want to try a text based RPG. They dont have the graphical complexities of a full graphical game, but it will give you something to do =).

    Et Altera:
This IS a VB help board. Try to help out, instead of sniping at people who are actually trying to do something cool.

    Z.
