Are your friends using different operation systems i.e. Windows NT. I have heard that applications that work with 95/98 don't always work with NT because NT is not backward compatible.

This is just copied from my other post, which no one answered, and i still haven't figured out the problem......

I recently made an application, packaged it up with the file distribution thing included with vb6, and sent it off to some friends...
For some friends, everything works fine, but for others, they get a "Class not registered" error...
What causes this? i've never had this problem on my machine...

and also, some of them get type mismatch errors when the program starts up, but others do not. I've never had any of these problems! Why are they showing up on other peoples computers??? Am i overlooking something obvious?

what rino said was right - check the OS. also, i've heard that the vb6 p&d wizard stuffs up most of the time.

maybe the different users are using different builds of the vb6 runtime? if you're using other controls then maybe the control ocx's and dll's need to be updated on some machines?
