help please with sprites

i am in need of some help.
what do i put the artwork in to make it animated?
if you could help me out an explain it and give me some code

you need to have a separate image for every frame of animation. The best way is to arrange the frames side by side in the bitmap, and have them all the same size, so you can easily change the frame you're using.

but i already have pictures like that. i just dont know how
to put them on the form and
make them animated. wisdom and code would be very helpful,
as well as a site i could go to to learn about animating
and games.
