Hi, we have this big tech fair coming up in March out our High School, and I wanted to create a game as my project. I was wondering if anyone could help me out/lead me in the right direction/walk me through it.....please write back ASAP.....thank you!!

What do you need to know?

First, you will ned a very strong storyline, and decide what kind of game it'll be.
Second, you need to determine if you'll be using normal graphics or DirectX.
    Third, draw the characters, scenarios.
Then everything will be the programming part, integrating both.

If you need help, we may talk. Post here.

    Regards

i'd recommend a 3d shooter with a full 3d engine, better than quake3's, using direct3d, and 50 hours of video for the story
    sorry.
adventure games are easiest; try a platformer or real time strategy game if ur feeling ambitious

Videos? Won't your engine be good enough to draw the reality in real-time?

    no,
I'm working on a strategy game too and I make it tile-based.
