Unhappy web forms controls r invisibe at runtime

hi guys
i've been a vb programmer for many years and i just started learning ASP.Net. but at the begining one problem:
when i use the "web forms" controls for example the textbox on the web form and i run it in IE. they become invisible but when i use the HTML contorls instead, it's ok
how can i handle this ? i mean i wanna web forms controls coz they r more effectiv more colser to treditional vb controls.
can any body help?

you probably have the common problem most have.

Look for an exe named aspnet_regiis.exe and run it with the -i flag

ie

aspnet_regiis.exe -i
