Please help me with Homework sorry

I've been so lost this semester and our professor had just learned VB last summer so the class has been pretty confusing. I've got two last assignments before the end of the class and I'm hoping if anybody could help figure out either of them?

Program 1

"Each person at BobCat Motors is assigned an ID number that consists of four characters. The first character is either "F" for Full time employee or "P" for Part time. The middle two characters are the sales persona initials and the last character is either "1" which indicates that the sales person sells new cars, or a "2" that indicates that they sell used cars. The program should allow the user to input the ID and number of cars sold for as many sales people as needed. The application should calculate and display the total number of cars sold by each of the following categories of employees:
Full Time employee
Part time employee
New Car Employee
Used Car Employee"
