OK, that makes total sense. I was scratching my head thinking the reverse!
Well, my experience with one 3rd party setup is that it goes and replaces it regardless and then all kinds of "fun" ensues. I can play on this one machine because at any rate, I'm big on disk images, so I don't worry TOO much about screwing an OS up, but I spent some time going back into the sysWOW64 folder and putting some original files back in from my last image and re-registering them if they were the type that needed it. Heheh...MS...Loads of fun.
So, I can thank PDW or VSI for catching that automatically.
Maybe I'll just tell my customers they have to find a warez vb6 and run my program from the IDE. )
