Council to develop web applications.
Hallo to all,
I need for a council to develop web applications. I am a vb6 developper, and I need to develope a web application. I would like to develop in Visual Studio .NET. From researches done on the Internet I saw that there is a 2012 version of visual studio ( full and express ). For you, if I use express version of Visual Studio, is it a complete functionality development environment for web ? Or is it better to use Visual Studio 2012 ? From researches done on the Internet I saw that Visual Studio 2012 Italian CD Price is about 600 euros, and Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web is free. Do you confirm me this ? I'll ber new of .NET. I need your suggestion if I'm making the right choice. I have Visual Studio 2005, but I have compatibility problems with windows 7 professional 64 bit. Visual Studio 2005 and updates ( VS80sp1-KB932232-X86-ENU and VS80sp1-KB926601-X86-ENU ) have compatibility problems ( I have installed italian version of Visual Studio 2005 ). I'm trying now with the windows xp the emulator.
In attachments error compatibility messages of windows 7 professional 64 bit:
1. Error launching Visual Studio 2005: ErroreVB2005.gif
2. Error updates: ErroreUpdates.gif
Thank you for you replies.

Re: Council to develop web applications.
You can try the free VS Express 2012 for Web... Most likely it will meet your needs.

Re: Council to develop web applications.
I don't know what those error messages say (since I don't read Italian) but if you do have an Italian version of Visual Studio 2005 and need SP1 then you'll need an Italian version of the service pack. The ENU part of the filename tells me that you've tried to install the English service pack.
Try this:
