Box-Shadow not working right?

On my webpage, I have a certain div id="Experience" that utilizes the box-shadow style. This "Experience" div is 100px in height and contains other divs that, when expanded, will cause the "Experience" div to expand as well (lets say the bottom of the "Experience" div will expand to 300px). However, when I shrink the inner div, the "Experience" div will also shrink back to its normal size but will leave the bottom shadow at the point where the "Experience" div was last expanded to, in this case 300px.

Any idea what might cause this?
