In the short term, do a Compact & Repair of the database to reduce the size a bit.

In the longer term, either reduce the size by altering your database design (if you have repetition etc), or change to a database system that allows the size you need. The recent versions of SQL Server Express allow 10 GB, and are free (and are better in many ways, but not necessarily any other improvements for your needs).
