    £ Symbols

    Just wondering if anybody knows why this icon appears instead of £

    Usually it means that what ever font is being used doesn't support that character.

    The thing is it doesn't matter what font I use it still comes up as this

    Maybe character encoding problem?

    Most likely a mismatch between the encoding of the source file and the encoding given in the Content-type header sent by your web server. The easiest way to get around it is to use £ instead of embedding the symbol in your source code.
