How can I make my items from the toolbox (like tabcontrol and buttons) look more professional?

because its the most vague question ever. "more professional" could mean absolutely anything - we dont know what you want your program to look like. Also you havent said what exactly is stopping you from doing this now, do you know what you want your controls to look like but you just dont know how to do it? Are you asking for design advice? Have you even tried to do this yourself or research it?

I'm assuming that since you have posted this in the WPF forum then you are using WPF - if that is true then there are loads of tutorials on the internet that show how to use Styles, DataTemplates and ControlTemplates in XAML to customise your controls.

So first things first, tell us exactly what you have done so far and where you are getting stuck. Also, what is the end goal? There is no tutorial that you can follow that automatically makes all of your controls look 'more professional' - you have to just learn how to customise them and then customise them to what you want them to look like.

I would also point out that the title of your thread really has nothing to do with the actual question either, so many people will have had no idea what the thread was about until they actually read it. What you're asking for has absolutely nothing to do with the VS Toolbox. How your controls look on a window has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that you add them to that window from the Toolbox. If your question is about customising the look of controls then the thread title should reflect that.
