    Can't Compile Anything

    I can't compile anything. I even started a new WPF project and left it blank and tried to run it and it doesnt work I get

    "The given assembly name or codebase was invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131047)"

    I have .net framework 4.0 installed as well

    1. What version of visual studio are you using (2008, 2010)?
    2. Are you using professional or express?
    3. Is it doing it if you just create a new project and then run it without putting any code in?
    4. Can you post the code(xaml) from your main form?
