    What are the pros/cons of disabling Control.CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls?

    It allows you to debug without forcing you to use delegation but it won't make a cross-thread call work if it doesn't work. Cross-thread calls may work in some cases, or they may fail silently, or they may throw and exception. Basically, that property should be left alone except for quick and dirty testing.
