    Memorization

    When I was younger, I used to always just factor numbers. I found it amazing that just about any number could be factored. I'd start off with 5. 5 * 4 is 20. 20 * 3 = 60. 60 * 2 = 120. 120 * 1 = 120. Then on to other numbers like 6 or even 7. However, after a while I noticed that I have began running out of numbers to factor. I would just remember the answer from the last time I factored it.
