[RESOLVED] missing reference...
i downloaded a vb source code for my references...
but when i run the application, it would prompt that it can't find project or library... when i click ok, it would show the references available... and it also indicate that Microsoft Data Environment Instance 1.0 is missing...
what should i do?.. i have already upgraded my VB6 enterprise edition to sp6.. stil, it would hav this error...

unselect the missing reference and go down search for some higher version for the same reference and run the project. save it before running

Download MDAC 2.8 from Microsoft. That might solve the problem.

Hi,
Microsoft Data Environment Instance 1.0 . Which service pack you have I think it comes with service pack 4
check MSDERUN.dll is exist or not.

What edition of VB do you have? The Data Environment is only available in the Pro and Enterprise editions of VB6.

i already solved it... i didnt have msderun.dll in my system32 folder.. so i copied one.. thanks for the help guys..
